DESCRIPTION:Foraging tips\, mushroom recipes\, prizes\, and more\, along with the return of our seasonal\, limited-time mushroom course (only runs once a year!) \nWhat’s the deal with mushrooms? Why is everyone so obsessed? \nWhether you live in the city or the countryside\, you share your space with mushrooms. Medicinal mushrooms\, edible mushrooms\, poisonous mushrooms\, and even sacred mushrooms. \nYou may not always see them\, but the mycelial network surrounds us everywhere. There are amazing symbiotic relationships that surround us that we aren’t even aware of. \nLearning these relationships and tapping into this wild abundance is a part of reclaiming what is yours: a sense of connection and belonging. All of our ancestors had relationships with mushrooms. Some of us still do. DESCRIPTION:This year’s keynote presenters include Tieraona Low Dog and Leah Penniman. \nTieraona Low Dog\, MD\, is a physician\, author\, and educator. She practiced herbal medicine\, midwifery\, massage therapy\, and martial arts before earning her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. \nLeah Penniman is a Black Kreyol farmer\, author\, mother\, and food justice activist who has been tending the soil and organizing for an anti-racist food system for over 20 years.
